Dear fellow Beloved Daughter,
When you've survived hard things, hypervigilance feels holy ... but it costs you in ways you don't see: in your capacity, your creativity, your peace. God wants to lead you to quiet waters to restore your soul.Soul Care Mail is about tethering to God in a new way: a beautiful monthly mailing membership that provides you with moments of calm in a world of chaos ... it's a letter from me, Katie, inspired by God; a somatic practice to help you settle your body*; an artsy postcard that highlight's that month's theme; a Spotify playlist to go with the theme; and includes a number of other goodies that vary by month: stickers that fit that month's theme, poetry, a recipe for something interesting to drink or eat ...Above all, each month will be beautiful, thoughtful, and grounding in God. Each month's mailing will give you something to hold and something to admire throughout the month--beyond the delight of receiving real mail!{And if you're in a stage of life where Christian community feels prickly, but you still want to know that God cares about you, Soul Care Mail is definitely for you!}*A somatic practice is an opportunity to connect the mind and body, and calm the nervous system in a way that can build longer-term peace.

The Face Behind Soul Care Mail
Katie's 4th grade teacher encouraged her to keep writing—despite her struggles with memorizing grammar rules—and she hasn't stopped since. Most recently, that's been writing and leading bible studies for teen girls and for women.Along the way, she also taught herself graphic design - her first print advertising was published when she was 9 years old and continued professionally through opportunities that include Harvard Business School Press, a wellness planner, prayer and self-care journals, and wedding invites for friends.
Katie is known for being a resource on all the things - general knowledge, finding answers, and talking through issues big and small with friends when they need help processing. If she doesn't know the answer, she can figure out where to find it.She's thoughtful, kind and understanding ... though her mama bear will come out as needed to protect friends and family as needed.And at this point, after some big storms in her life, Katie has some hard-won wisdom in the ways God works through all things to bring about his glory and goodness for us while deeply caring for us in the process.Katie has had the joy of homeschooling her twin girls, starting in 3rd grade and continuing into high school now.Most of all, Katie loves to let God lead her to use her gift of encouragement to encourage people in their faith and in their daily lives.
Statement of Faith
The nitty gritty of our faith:
We believe that the love of God is revealed through his word and through the life of Jesus' on earth (summed up most easily by the Apostles' Creed).The bible is both descriptive and prescriptive, and often not at the same time ... though sometimes it absolutely is: in the life and work of Jesus, it especially is!The original word of God is infallible, but translations can be imperfect. When this is the case, we return to the heart of God, which is love, mercy and justice.Each of us has a God-given identity to live out in this world; we were made with intention, "for such a time as this." It is part of our journey to learn what it is, and then live out our God-given identity.

Memberships are only available to be sent to physical addresses in the United States. (Please contact us to discuss military mailing before subscribing; there may be an additional fee.)Memberships will be billed on the same day each month that you joined on. Memberships created by the 13th of the month at 11:59 pm will receive the next mailing, sent on or about the 20th of the month. If there is a change to this timing for cut off and/or mailing date, you will be notified via the email address you used when you paid.Please cancel your membership at least 24 hours before your next billing date to ensure that the request is cancelled in time. (We will update this section with the how to cancel once our Stripe payments are set up and we have the exact steps to cancel.)No returns are accepted.If you don't receive your monthly mailing, please email us and we will do our best to replace it; if the replacement is not received, we will refund your money for that month's membership.
